We’re Laurel and Pete, together we are converting two 14″ Butler grain bins on our historic farmhouse in the Teton Valley, Idaho into the basis for a small home. We are the general contractors/builders for the project, which is a first for us both!

Laurel

Laurel is a former professional kiteboarder and owns a kitesurfing school in the Dominican Republic – her home since 2003. She’s a volunteer with Citizens’ Climate Lobby – building the political will for climate change solutions.

Pete

Pete went from the guiding rivers in Idaho & beyond to fine cabinetry to even finer home building in the SF Bay Area before heading overseas on sabbatical. He loves skiing, snowkiting, & kitesurfing waves.

Together we have social business in Cabarete, Dominican Republic that employs Haitian immigrants, upcycles old kites, and invests all the profit into the Haitian community.
